Apparently, this is what is known as a ‘blog’… Or so I thought - but apparently NOT! (so I got meself a proper one at www.jennishawyer.blogspot.com)
A blog, so I am reliably informed, is more like something you update - a running newsletter as well as a little ditty about the author.... So I guess this is just a starter 'blog'... as I can't see me getting around to updating it - or working out how to... blah blah....
Anyway - Here we go..... Once Upon a Time......x......
Well, I guess I’ve always had a love of paper. I know that sounds strange, but it is true. As a very young girl, I’d always collect stationery and different coloured papers and pens and stickers etc… When I met my most cherished friend, Joanne, at college we used to write to each other with lavish stationery and different coloured inks – it was wonderful receiving such girly notelets! And so, it grew from there... I can remember making my own wedding stationery ooh, nearly 7 years ago now! Time does fly! The products available back then were almost primitive to what we have today. The paper crafting industry has certainly boomed and I’m loving every moment of it!... I used to make birthday cards, tried lots of different techniques over the years such as quilling, pergamano (parchment) and decoupage, but I’d only ever send them out to one person – yep – Joanne!
I'm happiest with the cards I'm making now. Die-cutting is my favourite technique and it's just SO addictive! You can re-create something as many times as needed, but still retain it's individuality... This was proven recently with a dear friends wedding stationery. Alison's love of wildlife was echoed in her chosen design of butterflies in a lovely pale green - very pleasant to work with.
Every card that you see here really is made with love! If you are an avid crafter yourself I’d love to hear from you – it’s great chatting to like-minded people!
Thanks for looking at my site!
